Not quite the hard frost that we had yesterday, but it was another cold one at Hull Farm this morning. As the farm is so open, it can get particularly cold. However, it was great to have some visitors to the yard this morning. David Mason was in early to see his new horse Hector Javilex, who we hope will take to the track soon. We then had John, Mary and Freya Thackray in which is always nice. They brought along ‘dogzilla’, he is huge, and we nearly considered putting him in training! We also had an exciting delivery this morning, a beautiful montage of Snow Leopardess winning the Becher Chase. Thank you very much to Grossick Photography. It has taken pride of place in the office above the fire.
The Mighty Arc was a Non Runner at Chepstow due to Heavy going, however Largy Nights took to the track. He ran a nice race, but just got tired and we will now look to step him up in trip and run him on better ground. One runner today at Wetherby, Guetapan Collonges with Will Kennedy on board.
A quiet weekend with no runners, January always seems to be a slower time of year. However, entries on Monday at Ludlow for Almazhar Garde, Castle Robin and Glebe Road, and Taunton with Peter’s Portrait. Tuesday has Doncaster and Exeter with Glebe Road, Glencassley, High Yield, Everyonesgame, Castle Robin, and Illegal Model. No entries Wednesday. Two entries at Catterick on Thursday, Almazhar Garde and Éclair On Line.
Have a great weekend everyone, and do remember to book in and come and see us!
