Another new arrival! Caesar’s Palace, son of Holy Roman Emperor, arrived from Tattersalls Newmarket July Sale yesterday. A recent winner, having won on the flat at Nottingham on the 2nd over 1m2f. He looks the perfect Juvenile hurdler, and we cannot wait to get going with him. Brad rode him out this morning and he seemed to take everything in his stride. He is for sale, so do pop up and see him! Somekindofstar, owned by Mrs May also arrived at Hull Farm yesterday. He is a lovely tall athletic horse, and he is settling into his new home nicely.
Moon King appeared to dislike the All Weather at Kempton last night. It was a very disappointing performance. However, as expected Adam Kirby said that he was flat out from the word go. It would be unfair to say that he did not try, as he was constantly trying to stay with them, but could not. For a 2m flat race, they did go a rather quick gallop which did not suit.
Beyond The Clouds and Jamacho are entered at Stratford on Sunday. George Bancroft and Midnight Jewel are both in at Southwell on Tuesday evening. One Last Dance, High Yield and Train Hill hold entries at Uttoxeter on Wednesday.
Other than the above, there is not much else to report from Hull Farm today! Temperatures are set to soar next week, as per the weather forecast. We were hopefully for a bit of rain beforehand, as it is needed. Although, I don’t think we will be blessed with it.
It is less than 10 days before Amber and Will tackle The Great Racing Welfare Cycle, which sounds worse than the 500 miles they completed last year. This time, a 24 hour cycle. They are in teams of 4 and will tag team day and night completing a 30km lap each time. It is certainly not an easy loop, both Amber and Will have reported how horrible the hills are. At 2am I am sure they will find the hills even worse! As you all know, Racing Welfare is a fantastic charity, and is the backbone for anyone in racing. A prime example is when they accommodated and helped Charlie through all of his back rehab. So please, if you can, donate to this brilliant charity. It will keep Amber and Will pedalling through the night!
