8 April 2021

It is the morning of the Aintree festival and Glimpse Of Gala has just departed the yard to make her trip up north with Will and Brogan. She runs in the Mares’ bumper with Sam Twiston-Davies on board. Gala is an extremely tough homebred of our landlords the Marriotts, and we look forward to seeing her run. The Vollan runs in the 1.45 2m4f Handicap Hurdle at Aintree tomorrow and Johnny Burke takes the ride. This morning declarations have been done for Snow Leopardess in the 4.15 Handicap Chase with Brian Hughes. Both Parramount and Glencassley have been declared for the Listed bumper with Jamie Codd and Robbie Power to ride. Nightline was also declared this morning; he heads to Chepstow with Paul O’Brien on board. Therefore, we have a busy Saturday of runners.

On Sunday, we potentially have Almazhar Garde running up at Kelso, and we also have entries for The Mighty Arc and Local Affair at Warwick. Declarations are tomorrow and are ground dependent. Raven Court, Haas Boy and The Wise Traveller are all entered at Huntingdon on Monday. Haas Boy and The Wise Traveller both have ballot marks for the bumper, so we will have to see whether they get in.

Paul was in to ride out on Wednesday, and Will Kennedy was in the morning. We had no runners Tuesday or Wednesday, but all preparations have been leading towards the weekend’s runners.
