Good Afternoon all! Today is widely regarded as the first day of the 'proper' national hunt season! How exciting! Although, we do not have any runners today, we cannot wait for the season ahead and to get all the winter horses out.
We have had a busy few days. Paul was in Wednesday so we schooled a load of horses. All went well. We then took Almazhar Garde and Do Wanna Know to Richard Phillips' gallop in Adlestrop on Thursday. It is a stiffer gallop than ours and is good to get them away to do a strong piece of work before they make their seasonal debuts.
Storm Goddess ran Wednesday, and I pleased with how she ran, she just couldn't quite get to them on the run in. Train Hill & Scene Not Herd have been declared for Hexham, lets hope the ground holds up. Lots of entries for next week; Shah An Shah, Nightfly, Dariya, Champagne Noir, Louse Talk, Teenage Dirtbag, Almazhar Garde, Illegal Model, Just Your Type and Jamacho.
We also have heard from Lochinver's new owners, he looks very happy out in retirement.
