A busy Friday morning here at Hull Farm, we had six horses off to Lambourn schooling, and Open Day preparation going ahead. It was a miserable start to the morning, however by the time we arrived in Lambourn it was lovely, sunny, and warm! Paul and Will Kennedy were there to ride a couple. George Bancroft and Glimpse Of Gala went for a school up the hurdles first, both jumped very well and Gala holds an entry on Tuesday at Fontwell. Lyrical Genius and Freethinker popped over the hurdles, again it was a pleasing sight. Finally, Vivas led Supremely Lucky over the hurdles, and then the fences. Vivas thoroughly enjoyed himself which is fantastic to see, and Supremely Lucky jumped well. Lyrical Genius, Freethinker, Supremely Lucky and Vivas then did a piece of work up the back of the hill. It was a strong piece of work, and none of them could be faulted. It was a successful trip, and it will not be long before we see them all on the track soon. We just need a bit more rain to get into the ground.

As mentioned, Glimpse Of Gala holds an entry on Tuesday at Fontwell, along with Midnight Jewel and Teenage Dirtbag. Declarations will be done on Sunday. There are no other entries so far.

It was also great to see Train Hill return from the sales on Wednesday. I know Rachel, his lass, was certainly pleased. Train Hill looks to be an improving type, and it won’t be long before he gets his head in front. We also wish Laura Morgan the best of luck with The Vollan, he is missed in the yard!

Final preparations for our Syndicate Morning, followed by Open Day on Saturday are going ahead and we cannot wait to see so many people visit Hull Farm. National Racehorse week is a fantastic initiative, and a chance for us to show the love and attention that these high class athletes experience.
