It’s been a little while since our last catch up, we are thrilled that we had a double at Huntingdon on Tuesday. Zestful Hope set us off to a perfect start by winning under a bold and confident ride from James Bowen. This was a quick fire double with The Dark Edge returning back to fences and winning! We are excited for a season of chasing for both of these boys, a huge congratulations to all connections.
The horses are in great spirits, running well but we are all waiting for the same thing… rain! The ground remains dry and while the horses are fit and firing, we’re having to bide our time with running so many. Patience is truly being tested but we all know how crucial safe and suitable ground is.
Looking ahead to the weekend, we have two runners at the big Chepstow meeting this weekend, a real marker that the national hunt season is officially back in full swing. It’s always an important fixture on the calendar and a meeting we all love. We have Sign Again running in the 3.20pm Wasdell Group Silver Trophy Handicap Hurdle on Saturday followed by Stroll on By running in the 4.35 Good Intents Marquee Hire Handicap Chase.
Sunday, Imperial Jade is going to run in the 2.42 Tom Malone Bloodstock Novices' Chase (Listed Race).
We have pencilled in more entries for next week, all we need now is a bit of rain!
