11 January 2021

Good Afternoon all, I hope you had a good weekend and didn't get too bored in this lockdown! There are current rumours going around about an imminent stoppage of elite sport. However, we have been that they appear to only be rumours at the moment, and racing is too continue. However, we can never be certain and of course there is a small level of doubt. Fingers crossed elite sport can continue and keep you all entertained in these unprecendented times.

It was a quiet week last week, with only runners on the Saturday. However it was three runners across three meetings on Saturday so we were busy. Poor Will did not have much luck again, especially after the disastarous Newcastle trip. He headed off to Wincanton with Merry Milan, and made it all of 10 miles down the road before the lorry broke down! Luckily it was so close to home, and Charlie came to the rescue! A quick swap of lorries and off he headed to Wincanton. Unfourtnatley Merry Milan fell at the 10th, however he is fine today.

Illegal Model ran at Chepstow in the class 2 0-145 Handicap Hurdle. He ran a great race to come 4th with Gavin Sheehan on board. He is a stayer all day, and just keeps on galloping. Castle Robin also ran a great race in the Lanzarote Listed Hurdle at Kempton to come 6th under Sean Quinlan. So a pleasing day for these two exciting propsects.

Today we have Carlow Farmer and Freethinker at Doncaster, Will Kennedy and Paul O'Brien take the ride. Tomorrow is Rivarros at Wetherby and then no runners Wednesday. Entries later in the week for; Glass Of Bubbles, Punctuation, Scene Not Herd, Just Your Type, Miss Molinari, Louse Talk, Do Wanna Know, Diger Daudaie, Saint Dalina, Stormy Milan and Almazhar Garde.

As said above, fingers crossed it is just rumours and that racing will continue. We are so lucky to be able to continue in these times, and I am so grateful to my team who work tirelessly to keep the show on the road.
