A quieter weekend than expected, due to postponing our Syndicate Morning and Open Day as a mark of respect for Her Majesty. Once a new date has been arranged, we will be sure to let you all know. In the meantime, our annual Horses In Training Brochure has arrived. Please email amber@charlielongsdonracing.com to receive one. There were some magnificent scenes yesterday from Scotland as The Queens coffin was driven from Balmoral to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. It was amazing to see the streets lined with so many paying their last respects.

A busy Monday today with four runners at Worcester. The first to take to the track is Train Hill, who has improved with each run. It is a competitive chase, but we are hopeful for a good run under Lilly Pinchin. Next up is Soldat Forte, who made a promising rules debut at Stratford last time out. He ran very green and hopefully will have improved for the run. Lilly Pinchin also rides. Oscar Montel returns to his favourite track, this time over hurdles with Paul O’Brien on board. Finally, If I Say runs in a Mares’ hurdle with Bradley Roberts on board.

Brian Hughes was in this morning to ride out before he heads off to Worcester this afternoon. He schooled a few and was pleased with them all. Notably, Rare Edition was his standout horse of the morning. Lilly and Paul were not in due to attending a jockey seminar at Warwick this morning.

George Bancroft is declared at Uttoxeter tomorrow with Jonjo O’Neill jnr on board. Harry Longsdon has been work rider for George recently, riding him out before school. No pressure Harry! Ardbraccan and Alien Storm have entries on Sunday at Plumpton.
