It was a close Second for Western Zephyr at Sandown on Sunday.
Bradley Roberts rode a brilliant race to finish just behind fellow yard jockey Paul O’Brien at Sandown in the 1m7f Amazing Sri Lanka Elmbridge Handicap Chase. As the commentator said, he was unlucky not to win! He ran a great race, and jumped well except for an awkward stumble on landing at the second last which won’t have helped his cause, but he finished strongly on the run in. On only his second time over chase fences, this performance has cemented his solid start to chasing and fingers crossed for a win soon!
