15 January 2026

Yesterday at Newbury, Molto Bene was nothing short of fantastic. Of course, the mighty Panic Attack proved too strong on the day, but our mare continues to go from strength to strength, finishing a brave second in another Listed race. She is such an improving mare and showed once again just how tough and genuine she is — battling all the way to the line. Performances like that give you plenty of confidence for what lies ahead.

There’s certainly no time to catch our breath, with a busy couple of days coming up for the yard. We saddle four runners today, spread far and wide across the country. Not At That Price tackles hurdles for the first time at Ludlow at 1.07pm, which is something we’ve been looking forward to, while Chocolate Cosmos makes her debut on the racecourse at 4.07pm — always an exciting moment! At Chelmsford Parramount returns to the Flat at 7.30pm, and Chemoulin makes the long trip north to Newcastle to run at 1.25pm. We really are all over the map today!

Tomorrow, the action continues with Shan’t Wait heading to Market Rasen in the conditional’s race at 12.18pm, while Swindon Village lines up at Windsor for 12.40pm. We’re looking forward to seeing how they both get on and hope they can put in strong performances.

The horses are running well at the moment and knocking firmly on the door, and while consistency is encouraging, it would be great to get our heads in front and secure a winner over the next few days.

At Hull Farm the freezing temperatures have finally lifted, and with them has come some very welcome rain. It’s been a long time coming, and the ground is certainly grateful for it.

Fingers crossed we can cap off the week with a winner — it certainly feels like one isn’t far away.
