Horses for Sale

16th September 2022

16 September 2022

Just a reminder to you all, it is our Open Day tomorrow 12-2pm. We are looking forward to seeing lots of you there. No need to book, please just turn up. There will be a parade of horses, schooling demo, refreshments and much more. The weather looks good, therefore it promises to be a fabulous afternoon. The schedule is as follows;
12pm – Public arrive
12:45pm – Parade of horses
1.30pm – Schooling demonstration
2pm – End of day

It was an exciting morning yesterday as we jumped a couple of horses on the grass for the first time this season. Despite all the rain we have had, it is drying out extremely quickly, but is certainly not as warm as the previous month. The mornings are getting colder, darker and with a bitter wind. Winter is on its way, and we are heading into the National Hunt season! There is a strip of grass by the bottom of the gallop, which is marsh land, and so the hurdles are placed there for the first couple of months. Imperial Jade and Caesar’s Palace were led over the hurdles by Sophies trusty hunter Repeat The Feat. It is the first time they have jumped out on the grass, and it was a pleasing sight for sure. Caesar’s Palace is due to make his hurdling debut in the next couple of weeks. There are still some spaces available in the Stratford Racecourse syndicate for Caesar’s Palace. It is £2,500 to purchase your share and for 6 months training fees. Please email amber@charlielongsdonracing.com for more details.

Alien Storm will make his seasonal debut in a bumper at Plumpton on Sunday. Bradley Roberts rides, and we really hope he does not lose his 100% strike rate as a Conditional. Calidad, Little Bruce and Indelible Spin are all entered for Warwick on Tuesday. Racing has been abandoned on Monday in respect of Her Majesty. There are no further entries for the rest of the week.
