The festive feeling has well and truly arrived in the yard this week, and it’s been a wonderful way to start what is always a busy and exciting time of the year. We’ve been incredibly luck to be spoilt by our generous owners, with boxes of chocolates, festive hampers and seasonal treats appearing in the tack room. It’s safe to say morale is high, waistlines are under threat!
We can’t go without mentioning our fabulous weekend runners, Donegal kicked things off by finishing 2nd in his debut for us in the Juvenile hurdle at Doncaster on Friday. He is an exciting horse to have for the future! This was quickly followed by a fantastic Saturday back at Doncaster with Molto Bene finishing 2nd in the listed hurdle race & Bowmore finishing 3rd along with Freshers Week finishing 3rd. The horses looked brilliant at the races and ran extremely well; we are so pleased and proud of them all.
We have plenty of runners declared and pencilled in before the Christmas Break. Today Zestful Hope runs at Wincanton at 2.30pm, we have two runners at Newbury tomorrow with Romany King and Roxy Russet making her debut. We have entries at Ascot on Friday and Saturday with Seamoon Story, Parramount, Rare Edition and On The Go.
With a few busy days of racing ahead we are hopeful to get a Christmas Winner before our small Christmas Break!
