Horses for Sale

17th January 2020

17 January 2020

A clear morning today, no runners today or over the weekend due to the heavy ground.

Paul was in this morning to ride out.

Highway Girl ran a brilliant race yesterday, she was unlucky to finish second, however she jumped and travelled beautifully. She will have learnt a huge amount from the run and will be one to run over fences next season.

Castle Robin looks anexciting horse with a huge future having finished second at Ludlow, he travelled well throughout and will appreciate a step up in trip next time. We will give him a bit of time after this run and find him a nice bumper in the Spring.

Almazhar Garde frustratingly fell at the 5th fence, both him and Gavin were fine afterwards, and he schooled himself around. We will give him a good check over before we run him again.

Unfortunately Just Don't Ask was not as lucky as he suffered an catastrophic injury. He won 2 novice hurdles at Ayr and Uttoxeter in the snow both times and a novice chase at Wetherby. He was a lovely big horse, who was a gentleman to ride. The ground couldn't be soft enough and he jumped well. He was running a great race at the time and he was unlucky to get blinded at the fence, causing him to fall. He will be greatly missed at Hull Farm and our thoughts are with his owner Rob Aplin and Sharp Rise Racing.
