What a fantastic way to start the week!
Yesterday we enjoyed a great afternoon at Ffos Las where the yard had a superb double. First up was Big City Roller, who once again showed just how much he relishes those muddy and testing conditions. He was given a brilliant ride by Lilly Pinchin to win for the second time this season, he has been a wonderful horse for the yard, and his record now reads four wins from just seven starts for us, which is something we’re incredibly proud of. A huge well done to Old Gold Racing 17 who have been so patient with this boy!
Not long afterwards, the celebrations continued when our young mare Galatrona produced a very exciting performance in the bumper under Jonathan Burke to win by 9 lengths. She has always been a horse we’ve thought a lot of at home, and it was lovely to see her put it all together at the races. She looks an exciting prospect for next season, and we’re absolutely delighted for her owners, Swanee River Partnership.
The action doesn’t stop there this week either. This evening, we send one runner to Wolverhampton on the Flat, Telling Time. We head over to Huntingdon tomorrow where Ikigai Star runs & Chocolate Cosmos runs in the bumper. Hopefully the good run of form can continue, and we might be able to add another winner or two!
There’s a real spring feeling around the yard at the moment. The horses are enjoying getting out in the field after exercise and soaking up the sunshine, and they all seem to be thriving for it. It’s hard to believe there isn’t long left of the 2025/26 National Hunt season, so we’re very much hoping to make the most of the final few weeks.
Have a great week!
