It was a great weekend for the yard, with two of our horses running into third place. Shan’t Wait ran a much more settled race, jumping beautifully throughout. He continues to progress steadily, and it won’t be long before we see him in the winner’s enclosure. Swindon Village also ran a superb race in competitive company to finish third, another strong performance to build on.
Today, we were thrilled to welcome David Bass into the yard to school some of the horses. After the big frost, it was fantastic to get back on the grass, and with the ground now perfect, it was a fantastic to get them jumping again.
Looking ahead, we have a busy few days: four entries for Huntingdon on Thursday including Sign Again, Freshers Week, Whatyouwaitingfor & Roxy Russet. We have three entries for Doncaster on Friday including Scrumpyjack, Realisation and Bowmore.
It will be exciting to see them run especially Whatyouwaitingfor, he is running for such a great cause for Prostate Cancer. He is owned by Old Gold Racing & Gerald Cooper who have done such a fantastic job at setting up this syndicate raising £28,000 for Prostate Cancer already!
After a hectic end to last week, it’s been nice to have a few calmer days to recuperate the yard and staff, but we’re already back in full swing and focused on keeping the momentum going.
