It’s been a busy week here at the yard as we get stuck into preparations for our Open Day on the 29th of September, from 10am–12pm. There’s plenty to be done ahead of the big day, but we’re all really looking forward to welcoming everyone through the gates.
Our Open Day is always a highlight for us and something we love putting on. There will be a parade of horses, a schooling demonstration, cakes, refreshments and, of course, Hawkstone Cider! It’s always a great day with a lovely atmosphere, and we’re hoping for another brilliant turnout, please do come along and join us!
The horses are in great form at the moment, and it’s been particularly nice to see some of the winter jumpers back cantering. The yard has that familiar feeling of a new National Hunt season approaching, with plenty of excitement for what’s to come.
The racing break has now come to an end for us too, and we’re heading to Worcester on Sunday with Graecia in the 4.08. It’s great to be back racing and we’re looking forward to getting started again.
For now, though, it’s all hands-on deck getting the yard ready for the Open Day. There’s plenty of work still to do. Have a great weekend!
