Horses for Sale

22nd September 2022

22 September 2022

We had three runners at Warwick on Tuesday. Little Bruce pressed the lead but weakened throughout the race. Calidad was disappointing, he was stepped up in trip for his stable debut. His jumping was not up to scratch, and he did not finish off the race. However, Indelible Spin put up a cracking performance to finish 3rd under Bradley Roberts. She got carried quite wide on the home bend, but really finished off the race strongly and will have improved for the run. There are still some spaces in the Charlie Longsdon Racing club for only £74 per month. She looks as though she will be a fun, consistent mare. Email racingclub@charlielongsdonracing.com for more details.

Yesterday showed Bradley how quickly this sport can bring you back down to earth. Since turning conditional he has a 100% strike rate over hurdles, with three winners, and has not been out of the top three on his two bumper rides. However, he suffered a fall schooling yesterday and had a bang to his shoulder. Luckily, it would appear nothing is broken, and it is just ligament damage, he is off to Oaksey house for some physio to ensure he will be back in no time. Oaksey house and Injured Jockeys Fund are invaluable to racing.

For those of you that were unable to come to our Open Day, we are running a social media competition to give you the chance to win our annual Horses In Training Brochure, and the famous Charlie Longsdon Racing bobble hat. Head over to Instagram and Facebook for your chance to win.  These can also be purchased separately.

The runners and entries are slowly flooding in, and seasonal debuts are occurring. Alghazaal heads to Haydock tomorrow to take his chance on the flat, Finley Marsh rides. Maninsane is back over fences with Lilly Pinchin tomorrow, and Everyonesgame makes his hurdling debut at Worcester under Brian Hughes. It is Worcester’s final Friday fixture of the season, that is when you know the winter season is upon us!  Present Storm is entered at Newton Abbot on Monday with Zestful Hope. Zestful Hope also has an entry at Southwell on Tuesday along with Jamacho. It would appear half the yard is entered at Bangor on Wednesday! Midnight Jewel, No Word, Glimpse Of Gala, Stroll On By, Peter’s Portrait and Catuaba all hold entries.
