It has been another positive week here at the yard, and it's safe to say there has been a real spring in everyone's step after Sunday's fantastic winner.
Our congratulations go to Gerald's Charity Syndicate, whose patience and enthusiasm were finally rewarded with a well-deserved victory. He has been such a fun horse for the syndicate to be involved with, and it was wonderful to see him get his head in front. Even more special is that all proceeds from the syndicate go to Prostate Cancer UK, making the success even more meaningful.
We were delighted to welcome Gerald to the yard this morning, where he spent some time catching up over a coffee while admiring his horse's winning photographs. Moments like these are what racing is all about, and it was lovely to share the celebrations with him after such a memorable day.
Our attention now turns to Uttoxeter tomorrow, where we have two runners, Jullou De Grissay runs at 3.15pm quickly followed by Catuaba running in the 3.50pm. We then have a three-week break in jump racing. We're looking forward to seeing them run well and hopefully heading into the short break on another high.
Back at home, the yard is buzzing. We are so pleased to have the stables full again, and it's been a pleasure to see so many horses return looking in such great order. They have come back in excellent condition, and we're excited about what the months ahead have in store as we begin building towards the new season.
