The recent heatwave has certainly tested both staff and horses, temperatures are soaring throughout this week, and the welfare of our horses has remained our absolute priority. Fortunately, we have no runners until Sunday at Uttoxeter, by which time the temperatures will have cooled considerably. That has allowed us to adapt our routine and ensure horses remain comfortable during the hottest times of the day.
A huge thank you to our fantastic team, who have been coming in extra early each morning to beat the heat and get the horses ridden before the heat really sets in. Our staff work tirelessly in every condition throughout the winter and the summer! Their hard work never goes unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for them.

Our Open Day has become one of the highlights of the year, giving everyone the chance to come behind the scenes and see life in a National Hunt racing yard up close. We always enjoy welcoming owners, supporters and racing enthusiasts to the yard, and we're already looking forward to opening our doors to you once again.
We hope to see many of you there, but in the meantime, let's hope for a safe week and a successful trip to Uttoxeter on Sunday with Alien Storm.
