Byzantium Lad, a recent English P2P recruit, won the 3m Maiden Hurdle at Ludlow yesterday by 7 lengths. He was given a great persistent ride by Tom Buckley. We are delieghted for connections, and to owner Mrs Marcine Marshall. Byzantium Lad has recently come from Fred Hutsby's, who is a local point to point trainer. Due to the cancellation of pointing during this pandemic, it has left them with little options on what to do with their horses. We were lucky enough to have Byzanitum Lad put into training here. He looks a nice staying chaser.

We had 3 other runners yesterday all at Doncaster. Punctuation looked to be running a nice race, albeit still very green, and faded very quickly towards the end. His jumping was improved from the previous run, however there is still work to be done. He will go and have his wind checked. We were very pleased with Freethinker, he is still a work in progress and the key to him is getting him settled. He looked to be more settled, and will need further in time. Shah An Shah is so frustrating, a horse with bundles of ability! He was running a very nice race until they started to quicken and get away, he then looked to run on towards the end. Aidan wonders whether his wind may be amiss due to the way he stopped and then ran on again. He will go for a wind check.

We have 3 runners today. Diger Daudaie runs at Chepstow under Tom Buckley in a 3m Handicap Hurdle. Raven Court goes to Huntingdon in a 2m handicap hurdle under Paul O'Brien and Will Kennedy rides Guetapan Collonges in a 2m4f Handicap Hurdle. Then that is it for the runners this week, it is a another quiet weekend of racing for us here at Hull Farm, we look forward to a busier month in March and the build up to Cheltenham! We have two entered at Plumpton on Monday; Local Affair and Teenage Dirtbag.

Yesterday Paul was in before heading off to Doncaster so we schooled a few. We managed to get out on the grass which was good. We were pleased with them all.
