It was another encouraging weekend for the yard with our Saturday runners once again putting in some terrific performances.
New Order ran another fantastic race in the Virgin Bet Handicap Chase, finishing a very creditable second after jumping so well throughout. Over at Uttoxeter, Kamaxos also ran a cracker, putting in a gutsy run to finish second by only half a length!
We do seem to be collecting plenty of second places at the moment, which can of course be frustrating, but it’s important to keep things in perspective, the horses are in fabulous form, running consistently well and most importantly, coming home safe! The winners will come and we’re absolutely delighted with how the team is performing!
There was however a huge highlight on Sunday, and one that brought enormous smiles all round at CLR. Our very own Harry Longsdon partnered with Rinjani Bay for the very first time in a pony race and what a debut it was! The pair stormed home to win by an incredibly 20 lengths!!
Everyone at CLR is so incredibly proud of Harry. He works so hard, riding out most mornings before school, putting in the hours during his school holidays and giving up his weekends to the yard. That level of dedication deserves moments like this, well done Harry!
This week looks to be a fairly quiet week for us, but we do have several entries over the weekend. Horses entered include Sign Again, Bowmore, Donegal, Graecia, Big City Roller, Glenmuick, and Seamoon Story.
