It’s been another busy week at the yard, and there’s plenty to look forward to as we head into another week of racing!
On Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming syndicate members of Old Gold Racing to see Big City Roller, Stroll on By and Whatyouwaiting for their lovely annual stable visit. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces, despite some rather typical National Hunt weather! A huge thank you to everyone who came along and braved the rain. It’s always a pleasure to show everyone behind the scenes and let them see how their horses are getting on at home.
Talking of the weather, we have finally got the rain we’ve been asking for! The ground is starting to look much more like we’d expect at this time of year, although Storm Boelo certainly made its presence felt over the weekend, with racing at Aintree unfortunately abandoned.
We have one runner at Bangor today, Sign Again runs for the first time this season at 3.16pm in a Novice Chase. We have plenty of entries to look forward to over the weekend at Ffos Las, Stratford, Uttoxeter, Wetherby and Carlisle. There are lots of horses in the yard still waiting to have their first run of the season this weekend including Nate of Spades, Kaproyale, Ocean Master, Molto Bene and Contain Yourself. It’s always an exciting time of year as the horses begin to return to action, and we’re hoping for a busy and successful few weeks ahead!
We’ve also started a new series across our social media channels, introducing both our staff members and the horses who make up our team. We want to give everyone a little more insight into life at the yard, help you get to know the people behind the scenes, and hopefully make you feel even more involved in our day-to-day life. Keep an eye on our Instagram (racingcharlielongsdon), TikTok (charlielongsdonracing) and Facebook (Charlie Longsdon Racing).
