The Vollan finally put his head back in front again! It was so great to see, and we are delighted for patient owner Mr Mark Scott. The Vollan had seemed to have lost his way this season, and had a few niggling problems, however these seem to be resolved and hopefully he can continue going up. He really battled on to the line under Tom Buckley, and it was a thrilling finish. He is fine this week, and we look forward to the next time out.

Today, we have Oscar Montel heading to Stratford in the 3m2f Handicap Hurdle. It is a bonus that he is running at Stratford for the Stratford racing club, and the sun is shining so it should be a good day out. He won comfortably over fences last week and is only 2lb higher over the smaller obstacles today. Therefore, we are hoping for a good run, fingers crossed.

Vivas and George Bancroft had an exciting day out yesterday, they headed off to the Heythrop pony club camp to give a demonstration. They looked like they thoroughly enjoyed the change of scenery and were very well behaved, considering there were about 120 children screaming from the side of the gallops! It was as if they were at the racetrack with full crowds, it was that loud. Vivas is in great form at the moment which is lovely to see. George Bancroft took everything in his stride, and you would not have known he was only 3yo.

It was great to have Alan & Christopher in this morning for a morning on the gallops and a stable tour. They coincided their visit before heading off to Stratford. For more details about a Stable Tour, please do not hesitate to get in contact. We would love to see you.

Midnight Jewel is entered at Market Rasen on Sunday, and then it is a racing break for two weeks. However, we do have Jamacho and George Bancroft entered over in Jersey next weekend for the Champion Hurdle meeting.

Finally, the cycle is less than three weeks away. We would really appreciate any donations towards Racing Welfare, who we know are the backbone to all the staff in racing.
