Jamacho sticks his neck out and battles on to the line yesterday at Worcester to win by a length under Paul O’Brien. It was great to see him show heart yesterday and keep his head in front on the run in. We are delighted for the Stratford Racecourse syndicate and Rob Aplin. Teenage Dirtbag also ran a creditable race at Worcester to finish 3rd under our new conditional Dylan Kitts. The penny is slowly dropping with Teenage Dirtbag, and we don’t think it will be long before he gets his head in front for his patient owners. Dylan was having his first ride as a conditional and for Charlie Longsdon Racing. It was horrendous weather at Worcester yesterday, one of the wettest days racings for a long time. The roads were extremely wet on the drive home, and they had to drive carefully not to aquaplane.

However, despite all the rain we still could not school on the grass at the bottom of the gallops this morning. Normally, that gets very soft very quickly and you cannot use it in the depths of winter because it is so soft. It looks as though the quantity of rain had just rolled off the top of the surface which had become very slippy, and not got into the ground. In actual fact, there were lots of frogs leaping around in front of the hurdles, they were the only things jumping there this morning! Although, there was no rain this morning and a it was beautiful autumnal morning, with having a gorgeous sunrise and bright blue sky but still being rather chilly. We did have three jockeys in though, so we managed to school a few on the ring second lot. Kielan Woods, Paul O’Brien and Will Kennedy were all in for two lots before heading off racing at Bangor.

We have two runners at Bangor On Dee this afternoon, Raven Court is making his seasonal and chase debut under Paul O’Brien, on the back of having wind surgery in May. Hoot At Midnight is in the Handicap Chase with Charlie Deutsch on board, she has improved all summer, so we are hoping for a good run.

It will be a busy day on Thursday when we have six horses heading off to Lambourn to work in the morning, before having three runners at Warwick in the afternoon. Beyond The Clouds, Oscar Montel and Lyrical Genius all ridden by Brian Hughes. On Friday we have George Bancroft declared in the Juvenile Hurdle at Fontwell and Jonjo O’Neil Jnr will take the ride.

We have a few entries for next week, George Bancroft at Stratford on Monday. We also have the Stratford Racecourse syndicate box for racing on Monday, so please do get in touch for more details. On Tuesday we have George Bancroft, Champagne Noir, Freethinker and Midnight Jewel.
