It has been a great few days here at the yard, with a string of runners over the weekend all putting in terrific performances. We were delighted to see them finishing in the frame, showing plenty of consistency, which is always rewarding for the whole team. Most importantly, every horse has come out of their race in great order, which is exactly what we hope for.
As we roll into the Easter period, spirits are high both on and off the gallops. The team have been thoroughly spoilt with a generous supply of chocolate, which has certainly helped keep energy levels up during the early mornings and long days. It’s a small gesture that goes a long way and is very much appreciated by everyone involved.
There’s no slowing down just yet, with a busy few days ahead before the long weekend. We have three runners today, with Chemoulin and Rare Edition heading to Newcastle and Pippin’s Legend making the trip to Bangor. Tomorrow sees us travelling north again for Hay Max and Realisation to run at Sedgefield, followed by another outing with Are You Joking on Thursday at Chepstow.
It’s an exciting time of year, and we’re hopeful for more solid performances and, above all, safe returns for all our horses. The team is also eagerly looking ahead to Aintree next week, which is always a highlight on the calendar.
Let’s hope the current spell of dry and pleasant weather continues, it certainly makes everything that bit easier and more enjoyable for both horses and staff!
