How is it nearly September? Despite the muddled year, it has flown by, and we are in full swing for the winter season ahead. Nearly all the horses are back in and cantering away, and the excitement is building. It was a busy day on Saturday with our Owner’s Day. It was a fantastic day and having not had one for over two years it was certainly great to welcome everyone back to Hull Farm. The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing, the horses were gleaming, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. This has set us up nicely for our Syndicate Morning and Open Afternoon on Sunday 12th of September. We are looking forward to that. There will be stables tours, parade of horses, refreshments, a select schooling session and much more. This also coincides with National Racehorse Week, which is a really exciting new initiative. We look forward to seeing lots of you there.
We have had no runners for 10 days or so, however Train Hill takes to the track at Uttoxeter on Wednesday under Tom Buckley. This horse is due to get his head in front soon, so we hope he runs his race. Jamacho is entered at Stratford this Saturday in both a hurdle and a chase.
Paul is in tomorrow, and we will have another schooling session, along with Tom and Dylan. It is an exciting time when they all start having their first jump of the season, along with the babies leaving the ground for the first time.
I hope you all had a good bank holiday weekend, as you know in racing the staff do not get the luxury of having bank holidays off work, and we are so grateful for how dedicated they are. Thank you.
